जटिल लघु नक्काशी ... होयसला वास्तुकला के बेहतरीन उदाहरणों में से एक।  कर्मकार कौशल का अवलोकन किया जा सकता है .. यह 1117 ईस्वी में राजा विष्णुवर्धन द्वारा कमीशन किया गया था, बेलूर में यागाची नदी के तट पर (12 वीं शताब्दी के मंदिर) को वेलपुरा भी कहा जाता है, जो एक प्रारंभिक होयसला mpएम्पशायर की राजधानी है।  मंदिर को तीन पीढ़ियों में बनाया गया था और इसे खत्म करने में 103 साल लगे।  इसे बार-बार क्षतिग्रस्त किया गया और युद्धों के दौरान लूटा गया, बार-बार इसका इतिहास बनाया गया और इसकी मरम्मत की गई।  यह हसन शहर से 35 किमी और बेंगलुरु से लगभग 200 किमी दूर है।
